Crowns

A crown (or cap) is a type of permanent restoration used to cover the existing tooth in order to protectit from breaking.  Crowns are typically needed when a tooth has had numerous fillings placed over the years, or has broken due to trauma or decay.  Crowns can be made out of numerous materials, from all metal (gold) or Zirconia (tooth color).

A bridge is two or more crowns connected in order to replace a missing tooth or to add strength existing teeth.  A bridge is a great permanent treatment when minimal teeth are missing.
